...or lack therof.
As discussed before, John Mayer is my absolute favorite, and, as I was searching for "Love Song for No One" on YouTube, I stumbled across a certain video from Any Given Thursday. In this video, John Mayer tells a parable that is relating very closely to my life right now, and I just thought his point of view was really interesting. Enjoy.

Foolish nonsensical nonsense.
So most of my posts don't make any sense.
But guess what? They don't need to.
A lady always leaves a little bit of mystery about her life; you can try and put the puzzle pieces together to figure out what's going on in mine if you feel so inclined.
However, that is totally unnecessary, and frankly, if I care enough to tell you what's going on, then the posts do make sense. It's like an enigma--if you don't have the code, you can't read anything.
So decode that.

I am not crazy.
Relationships are private. Things that go on the internet are public. Ergo, things relating to a relationship should not go on the internet.

Gimme gimme more.
What do I have to do to get some attention around here?
Seriously, I'm not getting attention from ANYONE these days, not even people who should be giving you attention, like salespeople. Seriously, what am I, part chameleon? Do I just blend into the background so people don't see me?
So annoying.

Laura

The knots you're putting inside my stomach.
1 AM, a fight via text message, and this song is stuck in my head.
Some more attention, honey, put your hand on my hand....No more labor, I must sit and savor in the knots you're putting inside my stomach, need more water if this gets much hotter, oh you see me so, you see me too well.

Weird vibes or paranoia?
Ever over-think something and get really paranoid?
I do it all the time.
Right now, though, I'm at my absolute WORST. That's when you over-think, get paranoid, then think, "Oh, I'm just being paranoid...but what if I'm not over-thinking this at all?" So then you over-think your over-thinking.
Does that make sense?
Anyways, I am really ready for Spring Break to be over tomorrow. I'm tired of all this free time. It gives me too much time to sit around and think. And excessive thinking, for me, often leads to over-thinking, which leads us right back to the place from which we came.
Terrible cycle, isn't it?
Keep it classy and fabulous!

Boom boom boom, kiss kiss kiss.
This is terrible.
It's 4 AM, and this song (which perfectly describes how I feel), is stuck in my head.

No one reads this stupid blog.
Seriously, no one reads it.
Why am I even writing?
I'm not going to be done with it, not for a second, because it's way too entertaining to not write, but I mean, seriously.
If you read this at any point in time, let me know.

An interesting thought...

Stuff sorority girls like #12: Theme Parties.
Caution tape? Check.
Shiny hot pink skirt? Check.
Tennis outfit? Check.
Where else but in the sratty world can you expect to wear all of these things at some point? Sorority girls love to dress up, and, most of all, we love to do it at theme parties.
There's a million themes to choose from, seasonal and otherwise: Toga, Golf Pros and Tennis Hoes, ABC (anything but clothes), Bright N Tight, Retro Prom, Grafitti, and Tacky Christmas Sweater, just to name a few. The best part about theme parties is the rush beforehand, trying to get together that perfect outfit, and pulling it off at the last minute. Plus, the chances of looking stupid are minimal, considering everyone else is going to look ridiculous as well.

Start with the classics.
So lately I've been very caught up in the sorority girl lifestyle. It is frat's counterpart, also known as "srat."
I've been mediating a lot on the sorority girl look, and I've come to the conclusion that there are a few things every sorority girl needs in her wardrobe (mind you, this is not a definitive list, but rather, a guideline:
Pearl studs
Pearl necklace
David Yurman anything (preferably from the Albion or Color Classics collections)
Hanes white v-necks
Fraternity or sorority t-shirts (preferably with a pocket)
Nike Tempo running shorts
New Balance tennis shoes (girls, rock your 442s)
Monogrammed Longchamp bag (The Le Pliage tote)
Ray-Ban wayfarers or aviators
Lilly Pulitzer dresses
Jack Rogers sandals
Game day dresses (in your school's colors--for USC it's black OR the PERFECT shade of garnet. Don't wear red or that awkward purple-y color...we'll know you're a newbie.)
Cowboy boots
Black leggings
Uggs
Patagonia or Mountain Hardwear jacket (North Face is a classic, obviously, but it's becoming a little too mainstream.)
Obviously, this only covers the very bare bones of the sratty wardrobe. However, if you want to really srat hard, look out for a 2nd post and read more!

Apology.
Hey guys!
So I know approximately 2 people read this blog, but I just wanted to apologize for not writing in a while. I haven't felt particularly opinionated lately, and I've been trying not to post things about my tumultuous life on the internet because that tends to get me in trouble.
There's nothing I have to say that's of any particular importance.
