Hey everyone!
So, we're two weeks into 2010, and it's time to check in with those New Year's Resolutions.
As far as working out and being healthy, that's going pretty well. I've been going to the gym or working out on my own about 5 times a week. My friend Lauren (mentioned here) and I have been going to the gym after our Theater appreciation class, and I've been good about going on my own to go do cardio or staying at home and keeping it old-school by working out in my dorm by combining pilates and some old-school aerobics moves. I'm not really seeing any results yet (other than ridding myself of the holiday bloat), but I'm sure that if I keep it up I will.
I've been good about staying a vegetarian, though I did break down at lunch today and have some really delicious homemade chicken nuggets, as well as having a chicken burrito last night at the opening of Chipoltle. (That chicken was free-range, hormone-free chicken, though.) I'm sorry, sweet chickens...I will be back on your side tomorrow.
I haven't been watching my documentaries (I haven't really had time since I've been back at school), but I have watched two classic films already! I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's (it's a travesty I haven't seen it, I know), and the hilarious and witty How to Marry a Millionaire, starring Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall, and Betty Grable, all of whom are deeply fabulous. (Betty Grable in particular has absolutely perfect comedic timing.)
As for the other ones...I haven't gotten to them. Oh well!
Keep it classy and fabulous!
xoxo, Laura
